CHEMICAL INJECTION VALVE AND MANDREL

The chemical injection valve and mandrel work together to enable accurate chemical management during well production. Chemicals are used downhole to keep hydrocarbons flowing and to deliver scale and corrosion inhibitors to prevent equipment failure and downtime.

BENEFITS

Optimize your production

Eliminating the formation of unwanted contaminants in the tubing string extends well life
Reduce costly interventions

Preventing flow blockage and build-up decreases the need for tubing checks and interventions
Ensure continuous flow from the reservoir to the surface

Easily manage flow pressure using a hydraulic surface control

applications

  • Deepwater or land platform operations
  • Deviated wells
  • Artificial lift situations
  • High-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) or corrosive environments

capabilites

  • Slim design to fit in smaller wellbores
  • Multiple thread variations to accommodate most well completion equipment
  • Various metallurgies to perform across multiple well conditions

features

  • Valve opening and closing pressure is controlled by a hydraulic line to the surface for easy operation
  • Specialized or custom features can be added for greater flexibility
chemical injection valve and mandrel

Novomet chemical injection systems include a non-return feature that efficiently prevents wellbore fluids from backflowing into the delivery pipe. The mandrel is used to terminate the control line and direct the flow to the correct location, while the valve stops fluid from entering the hydraulic line. Unwanted fluids such as asphaltenes, corrosion, emulsions, and hydrates are prevented from entering the tubing string where they can build up, cause blockage, or escape to the surface.
